First off we have determined that Tye is not a
purebred minpin. She is definately a cross with chihuahua. I had some breeders look at her and they all agree. I even had a chihuahua breeder look at her and she can see the cross. With that said here is
some other info on her. Tye is of course very affectionate although very dominate with other dogs. She has been caught peeing on other dogs beds and will growl at other dogs if they try to get into the lap
of the person she is currently loving.Tye suffers from seperation anxiety and will bark for hours when left alone. With this in mind she is not suitable for an apartment. The lady who took her over night
said she barked at every little noise she heard and her neighbours complained about the noise.
Although she is coming along very nicely, her house training is a little slow. She usually gets up in the
night and has an accident on our bedroom floor. We have put down puppy pads for her and sometimes she uses them. She prefers to go on newspaper and had no accident when she was at the ladies house who was
thinking of adopting her. With that said I should mention that Tye always sleeps in the bed with us. When I tried putting her in the crate at night she would bark, and yes I broke down and let her in the bed
as I was in desperate need of sleep. She is actually a wonderful dog to sleep with, you don't even notice she is there.
Tye is excellent with children, in fact she seems drawn to them and loves their
attention. She does however hate birds!
This is a definate lap dog who wants to be with you constantly. She is very adaptable and takes to total strangers in no time.
