June 6/05  This is Darby a 9.5 yro not yet spayed female w/natural ears and docked tail.  Darby has generously been taken in by Jude Fine of Senior Dog Rescue (Calgary, AB). 

Poor Darby has spent the last 3 yrs of her life in a pen in the garage - Jude says she is a filthy matted mess and will be groomed later this week. Vetting to be done as well. Darby is completely bald on her back and sides!

Darby is very good w/cats and Jude's other dogs - she is somewhat needy but is thoroughly enjoying being in the house and having attention - apparently she's a real 'talker'! Jude is working on her rehousetraining.

***Senior Dog Rescue is a very devoted group of volunteers dedicated to helping senior dogs - as in all rescue groups money is always an issue. 

August 3/05. Darby is doing very well and her hair is growing back without any medications. Just a good diet and a happy home is all it took. Transport in summer is sometimes difficult, so she may stay with Jude until she can be transported to her forever home.

Jude has become so attached to Darby and Darby is very happy living there that Darby is already in her forever home. Yaaay!
