June 27/06 Balou came to us when his family dropped him off at a local kennel. They couldn't keep him anymore because they had a male and female Bouvier des Flandres and neither were spayed or neutered. The female went into heat and Balou was banished from the family home. But then again, they bought him from someone they met for just $40.00, so he was pretty disposable.

He also had a massive ear infection and was grossly underweight by about 25lbs. He was also very lethargic. We didn't know if he was going make it. But, some medication and good food and a good grooming has made all the difference to him, not to mention having lots of attention and love lavished on him. He has been spending his weekends at the cottage on the lake, where he spends his time enjoying the sun and freedom with his foster brother Baxter.

Balou has now been neutered and vaccinated and has a clean bill of health from our vet. His ear infections has cleared up and he is now feeling much better. He is still under weight but has gained 12lbs in the last 3 weeks. He is a wonderfully good natured dog, he loves to go for walks but his favourite pastime is lying around enjoying your company.

Balou will not be adopted to a home with cats as we are not sure how he reacts, unless the cats are dog experienced.

If you would like to meet Balou, please contact us at fcc@foxyscaninecompanions.ca and/or call us at 450-458-0830 and complete the adoption application form
